E5/Before you call
Questions we get on the phone.
-
Can you give me a price over the phone?
For a fan swap on an existing fan-rated box, roughly. For a charger or a panel, no. The run length from panel to parking spot and the load sheet decide it, and a number without those is a number we would have to change later.
-
Do I need to be home for the visit?
Yes, or someone who can open the garage and the attic hatch. We need the panel, the condenser and the route the cable would take.
-
Another electrician said I need 200 A. Will you check?
That is one of the most common calls we get. Send the quote you have along with your form and we will run the calculation ourselves. Sometimes they are right.
-
Do you pull the permit?
On work that needs one, yes, and the city's fee is a separate line on the quote. The terms of quoting are on the terms page.
